Portrait of the Artist
|
Originally born and raised in Hawaii, Anneth's first adventures in art began at the age of five when she was exposed to the storybook worlds of the Brothers's Grimm, Sleeping Beauty, and Urashima Taro. Over the years, her influences would encompass the works of the Rennaisance Masters, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Brian Froud, the Brothers Hildebrandt, Jim Lee, and contemporary American illustrators and fine artists. In 1999, she moved to San Francisco to study at the Academy of Art College, and recieved her formal BFA in traditional illustration in 2002. She currently works as a freelance illustrator and as an in-house artist for Island Heritage Publishing.
In her spare time, Anneth enjoys movie hopping, drawing, painting, reading fantasy & scifi novels, going to the beach, catching up on sleep and spending time with her family. Her home is shared with a voracious slipper-eating dog named Cookie. |
