Heroines I.
When I first began reading fantasy, I was a bit dismayed at the treatment many female characters suffered. From cheesecake to lurid descriptions of armor made of bandaids and dental floss, it was difficult to find a strong, female lead who didn't rip her clothes off at the slightest hint of trouble. Drawing my own characters who held their own just as well as the men was a great way to relieve frustration.
