-Completely- RANDOM NEWS for AUGUST 27, 2007:
Oh. My. GOD. I have to share this with you guys because I never thought I'd have such a strong reaction to a movie trailer.... So, I watched Stardust the movie. It was a very charming interpretation, if a bit jumpy between scenes. I thought Claire Danes was too modern for the role, but that's just me. Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that there was a trailer for Susan Cooper's "The Dark Is Rising" movie that's based on the second book, only I hadn't realized it was her book until one of the supporting characters called the kid "Will Stanton." Who is American. And the story is in the US. Am I deluded in the fact that somehow, this movie got the book totally totally wrong? The kid's good-looking, but definitely not who I imagined. The same goes for the actor playing Merriman Lyon. Neurghh.... He looks better suited as a pirate than the man who's supposed to be the greatest wizard in the world. But what really chapped my hide was that movie-Will has superpowers unlike that of Harry Potter, sans the wand. Wow, he can control the elements. *Slaps forehead* Good gosh, what a way to ruin my favorite Arthurian story of all time. Of course, I won't be watching this in the theateres, so all my frustration will be focused on making "awesome" pictures...... ;)

Holy Nerfherders, Batman! Yes, I know I know..."Anneth! Where's the site update you promised us two years ago?!?!!?". Anneth sucks Chunky Monkey butt for neglecting you guys. Many apologies < xinifinity >. Good news: I've got a nice dustbunny collection of material that's ready for uploading. I'm also planning to reshuffle some images to make the website more browser-friendly. I'm not a web-designer genius (CSS help, anyone, anyone?), so we'll see how that goes. Future apologies if my website makes you suffer a computer meltdown :D

In other news....wow, Dark Hollows kicked some sirius booty, didn't it? Loved it, so expect lots of material inspired by the book. Also expect some images from other fandoms, such as the other "Harry" from Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files and Garth Nix's characters from The Abhorsen Trilogy. I'm also looking into building up a site for my professional work, so I may be looking out for hiring a webmaster/mistress to help me with this.
